Brunch: that glorious weekend meal that sits languidly between breakfast and lunch. It has been popular in the United Kingdom since the nineteenth century, and of course, its origins are not clear. Some people claim that brunch was first served as a late breakfast for the early rising hunters, whilst others consider that it was a meal derived by Catholics who had fasted before mass and just couldn’t wait for Sunday lunch.
